Software Engineer
Full-time Hybrid (Remote / Antwerp, Belgium)Job Details
As a Software Engineer, you’ll work closely with the founders and product team to expand the technology of XFA’s cybersecurity platform. You’ll design, develop, and maintain secure, scalable, and high-performing software that protects organizations worldwide.
This role is perfect for someone who’s passionate about technology, curious about cybersecurity, and motivated to make an impact. You’ll gain hands-on experience across backend, desktop, and mobile applications — contributing directly to the success of our product and shaping the future of security technology.

Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain software using Golang, Flutter, and Typescript.
- Create secure and scalable back-end technology used globally
- Expand functionality on both desktop and mobile operating systems.
- Write automated tests and maintain high-quality, reliable code.
- Collaborate with a small, fast-moving team to implement new features and resolve technical challenges.
- Participate in code reviews, ensuring coding standards and security best practices are upheld.
- Continuously improve developer workflows, build processes, and documentation.
Requirements
- Strong experience in software development with Golang, or familiarity with languages such as Python, .NET, or Java and willingness to learn Golang.
- Understanding of software security principles and an interest in cybersecurity.
- Excellent communication skills, both asynchronous and synchronous.
- Comfortable working independently and proactively in a fast-moving start-up.
- Experience with Flutter, React or Typescript is a plus.
- Experience working in an AI-assisted development workflow is a plus.
- Experience developing cross-platform applications for Windows, macOS, or Linux is an advantage.
- Fluent in English; other European languages (e.g., French, German, Dutch) are a plus.
