Nobody here is the IT team.

Security landed on you because there was nobody else. Set the rules once. From then on, every sign-in checks the laptop and shows its owner what to fix.

Free to start for your whole team: 4 device checks at every sign-in, and people are guided to fix issues themselves, automatically or by hand.

Working on a laptop at a long table in a bright office

From your evenings
to their sign-in.

Today

  1. You ask everyone to update, then ask again next month.
  2. New people get their accounts on day one. Nobody checks whether their laptop is safe.
  3. A laptop misses an update. Nobody knows until something goes wrong.

With XFA

  1. Each sign-in checks the laptop. Nobody has to ask.
  2. Their first sign-in asks them to install the XFA app, then checks the laptop.
  3. Its owner sees the missing update at sign-in and fixes it. XFA can block the laptop until they do.

Three jobs,
off your desk.

You choose the checks, and whether a laptop that fails one gets a warning or is blocked. The three jobs below then run without you.

XFA handles it
while you work.

People fix their own laptops, and XFA warns them when one is at risk. When a customer asks for proof, the record is already there.

Freelancers and personal laptops
  • Device fails a check? They fix it themselves.

Press Fix and approve the suggested fix, or follow the step by step guide.

  • Device at risk? Its owner hears about it.

XFA alerts them by email, and in Slack or Teams if you choose, until it is fixed.

  • A customer asks for proof? You have it.

Every device check leaves a record. The dashboard shows how many laptops meet your rules.

How it reaches
the whole team.

  1. You go first.

Connect your identity provider and try it on your own laptop. Setup takes about 15 minutes, with no sales call.

  2. Then one group.

Turn XFA on for one group in your identity provider, engineering for example. Nobody else sees a change yet.

  3. People add themselves.

At their next sign-in, XFA asks them to install the app. It takes about a minute and needs no admin rights.

  4. Next month’s hires too.

Add someone to the group and their first sign-in does the rest. XFA also keeps checking your sign-in logs for new laptops.

madewithlove

A Leuven consultancy with no IT department and a spread out team. Many work on their own devices, freelancers included.

When a customer asked for the specific device measures behind the data protection clause in their contract, madewithlove didn’t have real controls in place for device security.

madewithlove compared several vendors before choosing XFA. The deciding factor was how easy it would be to introduce to the team and for people to onboard.

Questions when nobody does IT

Compare plans
Typing on a laptop at a desk by the window
Is XFA for us?

Yes, if your team signs in to work apps through an identity provider. Company laptops, personal laptops, or a mix all work. If you have no identity provider yet, XFA is not a fit. It checks at sign-in, so it needs one.

XFA for startups
Who runs XFA day to day if nobody does IT?

Whoever owns security now, often the CTO or a founder. That person does the setup once. They connect the identity provider, choose the checks, and decide whether a failed check warns or blocks. After that, people fix their own laptops.

Does someone have to go round every laptop installing the app?

No. People install it themselves when XFA asks at sign-in. It takes about a minute and needs no admin rights, so it works on personal laptops too.

What if someone never installs the app?

XFA asks again at every sign-in and sends reminders by email, Slack, or Microsoft Teams. You can also turn off skipping for an app, so nobody gets in until their laptop is checked.

Will XFA block anyone on the first day?

Only if you set a check to block right away. You can start with warnings and add a block once people have caught up.

Their privacy stays theirs.

XFA checks security settings and nothing else. Nothing on the laptop changes unless its owner says yes.
